Heute denken, morgen fertig.

Jacob Bøtter

Jacob BøtterI began my career by doing small graphic- and webdesign jobs in primary school. In high school my passion for entrepreneurship started when I initiated Kwan Studios, a global virtual designagency with more than 250 designers in 40+ countries associated after less than a year. Our clients were some of the worlds largest companies and my sparetime (read: studytime) vanished. In order to finish school I gave up on the company, but couldn’t keep the focus on school for long. Shortly after, I started an advertising agency (effekt2) which became one of my most worthwhile experiences to date. The agency went bankrupt and left me with a debt I had to work of.

My passion for entrepreneurship wasn’t gone though, and I began moving towards my current job by blogging about social media in Denmark (in Danish) and getting a network in an entirely new line of business. In 2006 I founded Connecta (now Wemind) with Hans Henrik H. Heming. The company grew fast and during summer 2006 we help Lars Kolind build his blog Kolindkuren.dk for his upcoming book. A blog which became a huge success, with enhanced book sales as the primary effect. This leads to Lars entering the company in 2007 as co-owner and shortly after that we change the name to Wemind. Today Wemind is Copenhagen-based consultancy with 15+ full-time employees.

I often speak at conferences throughout Europe about new (social) media and how the internet changes our life and culture.
